About Us
The Rock Island Arsenal Development Group (RIADG) formed in July of 2003. It
is a non-profit, sister organization of the Quad City Development
Group (QCDG). Its Board of Directors consists of private and public representatives
from the Quad City community. RIADG has the exclusive right to market underutilized
space and capacity on the Rock Island Arsenal.
RIADG markets, negotiates, leases and manages administrative, manufacturing and warehouse space that is currently not being utilized. The intent of this arrangement is to not only reduce overhead for the Arsenal, but also increase its workload and to retain and create jobs for the greater Quad Cities.

About Rock Island Arsenal
Rock Island Arsenal is an active U.S. Army facility strategically located on
an island in the Mississippi River between Iowa and Illinois. The island is three-quarters
of a mile wide, and consists of 946 acres in the State of Illinois. Arsenal Island
is the largest employer in the Quad Cities' area, employing an estimated 6,600
workers. The business conducted on the island also supports over 12,578 additional
jobs in the surrounding communities. The total annual economic impact on the
local economy is over $1.1 billion. Rock Island Arsenal is more than a major
Army logistics and manufacturing center. It is the home of approximately 64 Department
of Defense organizations with a multi-faceted, dynamic workforce unlike any other
in the United States.

Jim Morgan, Program Director
Jim has an extensive background in Army Logistics and Acquisition. He served
over 32 years in the Army and functioned in various management capacities on
Arsenal Island for the past 17 years, including membership in the Senior Executive
Service.

Tim Frye, Marketing Manager Tim has a varied background; he
worked a number of years for a retailer in Alaska and in organizational development,
training and service for Motorola, Inc. Most recently, Tim was employed in
sales, marketing and business development areas of commercial real estate.
